I completed my BSc in Computer Science & Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. I am currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Euclido.Inc.- a Canada-based Ed-tech start-up.

My research interests broadly lie in the intersection of natural language processing and machine learning. I am currently interested in language models and agents; in particular, I aim to study the downstream effects of pretraining data and methods to improve the capabilities and efficiency of reasoning models.

Current Role

As an ML Engineer, I translate research into production-ready AI solutions. My work includes:

  • Designing and deploying a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) chatbot that delivers dynamic, context-aware responses.
  • Implementing a knowledge graph to model relationships between chatbot sessions, enhancing contextual understanding—directly applying principles from my prior research in political stance detection.
  • Building an autonomous AI agent to manage ETL pipelines, reducing manual effort through end-to-end automation.

Research Interests

My work experiences have clarified key challenges in real-world AI deployment and shaped my research focus:

Knowledge-Enhanced Reasoning Systems

I am researching on knowledge propagation through political entity graphs, which will improve accuracy in stance detection —especially for underrepresented political domains.

Financial Reasoning via Preference Optimization

Leveraging my sentiment analysis background, I am exploring how Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) can enhance financial reasoning in vision-language models. Unlike conventional fine-tuning (which often degrades multimodal capabilities), DPO-based methods promise to preserve cross-modal understanding while boosting domain-specific performance even in smaller language models.

Multi-Agent Story Generation

Building on my Bangla text generation experience, I am curious on novel frameworks where specialized agents collaborate to structure narratives. This approach targets the discourse incoherence and hallucination common in single-model systems, maintaining creative flexibility through controlled multi-agent orchestration.

I would love to discuss my research and any opportunities! Feel free to email me at rakib.ruet.cs@gmail.com

Outside of work, I play Fantasy Premier League, I am a hobbyist photographer, and I also try to write short stories and poems.
